If you can do it without taking on a lot of debt, I'd sure say go for it, especially in sheep.  I don't see the markets crashing unless the economy continues to get worse.   $300 ewes pencil out better then $2000 stock cows.  I wouldn't want to be carrying a lot of debt in any farming operation right now, and that includes livestock.

I've said it for some time now, if I was 25 years younger, I'd sure set for a lot more ewes.   Best money in farming, by far.  Good luck.
