Little River, TX | I have heard of a dairy that milks 30,000. Probably not all in the same facility.
In East Texas you will find less than 500 cow operations still surviving. I understand one county all the dairies use grazing. In that county there is a 1,000 cows milking with 100% grazing. I understand he has three parlors that milk in succession. I have seen one of his parlors and it is open on 3 sides with the milk tank and milk room on the north side. The owner of this dairy started with really nothing. Just worked hard, saved money, and used NZ technology. | |
