Aventine notes its planned expansion of its Pekin, IL plant by 113 mln gal has been put on hold as
well as its 5 other projects of 565 mln gal. Likewise two other 120 mln gal plants in IL by another
firm are stuck in the financing stage. Some firms estimate ethanol usage for 07/08 could drop to
2.900 bln bu, adding 200-300 mln bu to ending stocks, but again this will depend if ethanol
margins stay at their current levels. | |
