The idea has merit. A close friend did the same thing a couple years ago following some heart issues etc at around that age. Similar acreage and equipment. He's been raising replacement heifers and a handful of steers every year to put the facilities to good use. Seems to be making it just fine,granted his debt is probably minimal if any. Put the bug in his ear and see what happens.
