Central Iowa | I would be mapping everything from different varieties, herbicide & insecticide rates, various nitrogen rates, nitrogen stablilizers along with checking the yields in the fall with the combine. This would be over 8 different fields with me being the only grower used on this monitor. I have a scale on my grain cart that we weighed the grain and this last fall my yield monitor was within a quarter of a percent after being calibrated. I started combining corn at about 16% and when I was finished the moisture was down to as low as 12 percent sometimes. I will be updating from an Ag Leader 3000. | |
