Bill Moyer - 2/10/2012 13:32 Chad, This isn't a particularly odd occurrence. If your neighbor is running the full paddle Keeton's and is in medium to heavy soils, then it should be a surprise. Keeton makes a paddle with the tail trimmed for this reason. Those who already have the full Keeton's have often trimmed the tail to get rid of a bunch of the beaver tail. You will probably have someone post on how and where to trim it.

Keep the full-height Keetons.  Just put a Mojo Wire on them to get enough pressure so that the business end stays clean.  This will do more to keep them clean than trimming them down to create Low-Profile.
