Somerville, Indiana
neighbor told me one time, note all people who happen to live close aren't actually neighbors, takes much more to qualify that.-Don't spend too much time and effort on figuring out the markets. They never follow last years trails, and 50% of the time somebody looses money. If not, where does it all come from? On every trade there is a loser and a winner. Only difference is, the winner is lots more vocal about it. These are very trying times, changing quicker than old men can keep up. Youngsters think they have it all figured out in their computers. But what are they basing their facts on? last years moves? WRONG! Last ten year's moves? WRONG again! Never fight a winning market, let it run its course. Never sell grain at a loss thinking the LDP will bail us out. I preached that for years and made that mistake last year. I wasn't alone, but that doesn't make a difference to me. The gut feeling and checkbook marketing moves more grain than fancy charts and %. However, those charts and % skim enough off our markets for the advisers to survive on. Look at their records, very few are beating 50% regularly. Don't try to sell the tops all the time, if we do we will always be disappointed. Wives don't like to eat supper with disappointed husbands.
