North Central Illinois | Just hope you go before she does because you are gonna be in for a rude awakening. My grandmother waited on my grandfather hand and foot for sixty years. She cooked every meal, did every load of laundery, did all of the marketing, house chores etc.. She wouldn't of had it any other way either. That is the way they both liked it. Only trouble was she got sick about fifteen years ago and he had to take care of her. Grandpa had no idea how to cook anything or do laundry or anything else in the house. Grandma died about seven years ago and he is totally lost without her companionship but he is lost domestically as well. He doesn't like to cook so half the time he doesn't cook and he doesn't eat. He has gotten a lttle better but he still hates it. The moral of the story is it wouldn't be a bad idea to learn some of the stuff your wife does in case she is not around someday. Just sayin. | |
