Central Texas Panhandle | IIRC, the 3's have the new style cast scraper between the discs which also acts as a tube guide and holder for the poly tubing. The old style scraper was plastic and with wear did not perform well. Also the old style tube was stainless with a piece of hose on the bottom that always falls off and lets fertilizer splatter inside the discs. I updated all my Nutrimate I and II units to the new style scraper and tube and have been extremely satisfied with the improvement. If you find some older units you can order the scraper and tube to go on them which requires you to drill one additional mounting hole in each unit. | |
