Unfortunately, your Bowtie will only get those miles on it after 4 transmissions. GM has the WORST transmissions in trucks on the market and that's bad when it is worse than Dodge! And yes, this is first hand experience with an 02 Suburban that had 3 transmissions before 50K miles!
GM has the worst transmissions? Have you ever heard of this thing called the allison? I'll agree that the 4L60E is not a great tranny. That's what they put behind the 5.3 in the half ton vehicles. The 4L80E and the new version of that the 6L90E are basically bulletproof. They use those in the HD trucks. |
