We have one of each for tending two planters. We use both during corn and bean planting and just the bulk one for wheat although for an air seeder a fertilizer tender truck works better for wheat.

The one for boxes works better for corn or beans that are in boxes. The bulk one works ok and as I recall we can get a little more in it total.

Nearly all our seed beans is in bulk so the bulk tender works lots better for beans for us but again, we use both. On the box unit we just have 4 pro boxes that we leave on and refill. A bit of a hassle crawling up there to zip tie the lids so they will not fly off after filling but it works.

Either one beats sacks. If you don't see using bulk beans at all or not much, I would say go the box route.

We mounted both of ours on goosenecks. We had the first one on the factory trailer but it would hardly go high enough to fill our ccs we had at the time. We could buy a new gooseneck from some Oklahoma manufacturer for not much more than the dink trailer they sell for them. Makes them kind of tall (nearly legal height) but they clear the planter ccs boxes really well and we have enough room ahead of the box on the flat bed part to mount a tool box and a pallet of seed in the situations where we might be finishing up with bags or planting a plot or something.

These are pictures of current tenders although we have Kinze 36-20" planters now and we pull them mostly with 1 1/2 ton bobtail low-pro trucks with 3116 Cat engines and Allison automatics instead of the pickups.
