My mistake. You are right. I have to travel with loaded pallets of nursery plants. I confused that with empty travel. I should have paid more attention before I replied.

 When loaded with a fork of plants, I pull the pallet up close to the cab. But once again, I am confusing a forward curled bucket with a backward curl fork. You can feel where the sweet spot is by the ride when the load is centered. 

 I confused enough this evening, I probably better quit before I get someone hurt or something. Thanks for straightening things out PB. Hope all is well at home and with the family.
