EC North Dakota | I had an ST 280 with the 3406 in it, I was told the 280's were available with either the cat or cummins. Loved that old beast, easy to work on most of time and very trouble free tractor. Part for them are available from Big Tractor Parts out of Detroit Lakes, MN area.
When I was looking for mine I was told that the 3306 was maxed out at 270 HP. Don't know how true but some of the old time Steiger mechanics I talked with were all of that opinion.
Good rugged tractors for their time. AC on them were somewhat problem matic, might want to check and see if it has had any updates done to the system. | |
