Subject: 8000 series 7.6 vs 8.1 motor

Saronville NE
Got my old 2390 Case sold today, so looking to update to a 8300-8400, my question is the early 8000s in the 8300 has the 7.6 and they are cheaper to buy then the 8.1 in the later 8300s and I know all 8400s had the 8.1, is there a reason to be scared of a 7.6? I know the early 8000s dont shift as smooth, but got a budget to stay in. Tractor will be used on a SF finisher ahead of the planter, 956 disc mower, silage chopper, box scraper, manure spreader, spraying, and maybe sidedressing if planter is still on custom planting beans. For those uses would you prefer the 8.1 or would the 7.6 be ok for most of my uses? TIA
