| I have a Nikon D5100. It's a big learning curve, but pretty rewarding too. I've been pretty much self teaching, there are some really good books for this stuff out there. Packing it around for ball games and sunsets and airshows and such makes for alot of different scenarios to try to master. Honestly I'd hardly even touched an SLR camera till a year ago. Got my girlfriend one as a present and then started "borrowing" it back and decided it was time to get myself some education. I no longer think the pros that do weddings and stuff overcharge, the cameras and lenses used at that level are the price of a nice used car or more. And digital is a godsend since you can throw away hundreds of shots to cull out the keepers.
