NW Iowa | Not quite as bad as picking up 30' sticks of 6" pipe in the mud and snow. Started dragging hose in '83. Don't think the big hose reels were even being made back then. 660'drag hose with a 660' supply hose. Do a 1320' x 660' 20 acre rectangle, get the drag hose over to the other side of the pipe, and do the other half of the quarter. Nobody was doing diagonals back then. With chores, that was a big day for us. Needed a mile and a half of pipe to get to the far field. | |
