Central Iowa | I've got a 12.7 with 850K miles. It looks like I'm going to need to replace the bull gear. KW of Des Moines is also telling me it's about time to be thinking about sleeves on the motor. If that's the case they are talking about a total overhaul. I am 40 miles east of Des Moines. Anyone have a suggestion on the best and cheapest shop to do the work? KW of Des Moines is quoting me 20K for the whole deal. From what I've heard about Detroit overhauls it sounds pretty steep. | |
