Greembine, we have a 6.0 in a heavy half ton pickup. It has the 3.73 rears, has a chest type toolbox in it and is driven very sensibly by a young lady, gets 11 mpg. We load the Escalade ESV completely full, can't see out with the rear view mirror and drive it 80-85 mph and still get 15.5 minimum. It has the 3.40 rears I believe and weighs a lot more than the 6.0 halfer does. If you have never driven a 6.2, you probably don't understand what kind of power that engine creates. I sure didn't until I drove one.

similar experience Kagen, we've pounded out our fair share of heavy 1/2's/non HD 3/4's and I've enjoyed the 6.2 in the SUV's.(sorry if I implied that you didn't know what you were talking about)

My only point was that I just don't know 100% what the 6.2 would be like in the 3/4 ton P/U chasis vs the 6.0....must be a reason GM won't stuff one in there???
