I was trying to point out there are some genetic problems the industry is working out. I would recommend pulling blood on the cows that slipped calves as if it is BVD, lepto, vibrio, etc it should be ruled out. If it is a genetic disorder, you can pull hair samples and they can do DNA to see if the cow is a carrier. Moldy feed could be another problem, but less likely if the cow is bagging down. Need to be careful with byproducts if there is aflatoxin in the corn in the area of the plant as it will be way elevated in the byproducts.
