Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot | We took our two daughters to the sale last year when we sold steers. Had lunch while they started and then watched the sale. Every lot that came through my oldest (who luckily gets her looks from her mother) was shouting, "are those ours?" I kept telling her no. Now keep in mind this sale is small enough I think everyone including the auctioneer could hear her. Not to mention I think we knew everyone there. Finally they ran ours through, and I told her those were ours. Cutest girl in the world announces to the whole room, that those steers were HERS.
I think that lot might still hold the record for highest $/pound that sale has ever seen...;) Everyone got quite the laugh out of it. Even the auctioneer got in on it. When one guy quit bidding the auctioneer ribbed him pretty good about it, asked him how he could disappoint that little girl like that. | |
