Subject: RE: What about Hughes as a Satellite ISP

South Texas
Sir,
Sorry to say I know nothing about Hughes except my local guys won't carry them. On the other hand, I have had excellent luck with Wildblue. It's hi speed, satellite both ways and does not need the extra phone line. I pay for 1.5 Mps and get it pretty much all the time except during heavy rain when I really ought to get a grip and turn off the computer anyway. I think basic rate is $50 a month or so. dub dub dub wildblue dot net if you're interested. I am merely reporting what has happened with my dish--I've no interest in the company otherwise. Oh, they advertise as being available in really remote areas. I'm pretty remote, so maybe they're correct.
I hope you can find what works for you.
Take care. Stetts
