I'm not familiar with the cabling on that machine, but is there any chance that the logic power source is shared between those nodes? If so, it would definitely make sense. I wouldn't suspect an issue on the CAN line or you'd most likely have no nodes showing up, either there would be a bad connection or one bad component would knock everything offline.
