South Central, Iowa | Not exactly sure how that's relevant in anyway. Jesus drove the money changers out of the temple because it was the house of God, and it was not supposed to be a "house of trade" He didn't walk in to "their place of business" they were doing business in the temple. Completely different.
See the problem is, Christians think it's ok to tell people they're doing things wrong, with out looking at themselves first. Christ didn't teach us to hold non-Christians to the same standards as Christians. They first have to be in the faith to be held to the standard of the faith. Christians are sinners, they need to quit telling people they aren't. Even Paul admitted to being a huge sinner. Paul didn't win new believers over by telling them everything they were doing wrong, he won them over by leveling with them and showing them he was human as well. He told the established churches what they were doing wrong. By acting as if Christians are holier than thou, they're scaring people away from the faith in astonishing numbers. | |
