Subject: How can you make money at $3 corn???

SD/ND/FL
Please tell me how you can make money at $3 corn??? IMO, the only way is if you own your land and don't include a land cost in your cost of production

$150 rent
$150 fertilizer
$100 seed
$25 fuel
$25 repairs
$15 chemicals
$15 crop ins

ZERO overhead included

Total = $480 or $3.20/bu at 150bpa

I think you could easily include an extra $150 of misc variable costs and overhead which would push your costs to $4.20/bush. These are just estimates but they should be "in the ballpark" for the average 150bpa-ish farm.
