If you've already got them worn out on a cultivator that new Deere's quality must have gone in the crapper anyway. We replaced the shanks on our 1986 1050 about three or four years ago because the bushings and eyes were finally worn out.....after countless tens of thousands of acres use.
I guess I just thought the shank's seemed loose maybe I need to put in a new set on one shank and see if they are any better, maybe they have always been like this, it is hard to tell though as the way the spring is mounted there is always pressure on the shank/bushing until you put the tool on the spring head and take the tension off, the FC is a 34.5' that 9 years old and has probally averaged about a 1000 acres a year.
