West Texas | So typical of most rural churches. As the youngsters move to the cities, the programs for the youth decrease and finally stop. The larger churches in the cities cater to the young people and the kids and their membership blossoms. Its hard to have a youth program when there is only a half dozen kids in the church (and their ages are spread widely). We finally closed the doors on our church about 5 years ago and now the rural families go to town to attend church. Our church has two sessions on Sunday morning. the 8am for all us old coots and a 10:30 service for the younger modern crowd. | |
