What are you running for straights? I put a couple of those one inch big ones on with my regular five eighths ones back in 2010 and they seemed to burn off as fast as the thin ones. Maybe they run hotter and burn away casue they can't cool down, but dealer couldn't believe the two side by side. Don't think I ran them in the wheel tracks to wear faster either. 680 deere chisel.
