Martinsville, Ohio

It's a trichaderma fungi hybrid. Trichaderma colonize on the roots of your crop and actually live off invading fusarium, pythium and other bad fungi. I used to planter box treat with it but usually don't have to now since my seed suppliers all put it on the seed for me. If you inoculate beans with Excalibre you can get the higher priced SA version that includes SabrEx. This year, this added 7-22 bushels to my corn hybrids. It helps weak rooted hybrids the most generally, race horse types which most seed corn is.

I have gotten 12 bu on cereals over the years pretty consistently. I get 2-3 bushel on soybeans. It usually makes bigger roots. I also apply it to cover crops and it makes radishes, potatoes and root crops bigger. Quick Roots also contains a trichaderma but a different one. It works well also. I haven't paid attention to cost but it is somewhere around $2 an acre depending on the crop, seeding rate etc.

You can order from AgTalker Jay Herron at http://www.agstore.net or http:// www.innoculant.com   or Joe Anchor at [email protected] or you can go to the ABM website and find where it is sold. http://www.abm1st.com/
