Been a while since I was in a high school gym, but the only problem might be the size. The folded up height might be too wide to fit thru the double doors. Your idea would be the easiest if they'd fit thru the doors and a forklift was available to handle them. Farmers aren't afraid of hard work, but aren't afraid of using mechanical devices to make it easy either.
