Eastern Iowa | Cuts are going to have to occur in departments all over the place. USDA is only one small part. My beef is that they will cut staff (maybe) and close some offices without reducing farmer reporting requirements or other duties in those offices, meaning the SERVCE part of FSA and NRCS takes an even bigger back seat.
My understanding from discussions I have had previously is that no USDA people would be let go under this reorganization, just reassigned. | |
