I broke one in my neck at 17 that healed but locked my neck up at 30. Have been chiropractoring ever since. The surgery on that verterbrae was just too risky for me so I put up with it all these years.
Case by case, I agree. Try not to worry about it, it is not that uncommon. Find the best and get second opinion if need be.
