I think it is interesting.  I like logic.  Diagraming sentences was pretty much the ONLY thing I liked in any English class.    It's real...sorta like math.   Some, on the other hand, just can't stand the fact that words mean things, and that there is a correct way and a lot of incorrect ways to interpret a statement...ie, it's about facts, not feeeelings.
