our son works for a surveyor. He brought some pictures of our place and the countryside from 1930's.  Nice photo's could pick out different buildings etc. Was really surprised how little woods were there. I would guess that 75 percent of the woods around was farm land or pasture land at one time. Have to get my scanner fixed.
