I thought about that wingnut, there are a couple of reasons that keep me from doing it. When it's out it wouldn't sit flat on the floor, or trailer if need be, and it would also make it harder to take in and out since I'm putting about 20 inches of my 48" forks in there to keep from removing the tailgate so I don't go straight up and down with it really. But it would be a very secure way to hold it I agree!
