There is quite a few of them on irrigation wells around here. Sparrell is right about the rep in the combine, seems like deere tried to squeeze too much out of it for what it was. The later ones used the 414 or 6.8L just a larger displacement of the same series engine(combine). The tractor engine shouldn't be a problem though. Seems like cavitation erosion of the sleeves was the worst thing i have ever seen with them and that can be controlled with a maintaince schedule with the coolant. Just my .02 cents worth.
