Is this what your looking for ? These were old street light poles made out of steel. We cut the tops off and welded a flat plate on then a curved lip all the way around the plate. We mounted a mercury vapor night guard ballast to the plate with the bulb facing up and then got this hard plastic shade to go over the top. Had to drill a hole and use some pipe to mount a photocell base below the plate and shade for controlling the light. the wires run through the pipe and up to the ballast under the shade. The foundation for this is 1 cubic yard of concrete (long story about how that hole got dug) The foundation has served double use as it was used to hold our basketball post up when we were kids. The base of the basketball post and the light post were the same dimensions.
