| When buying re-treaded tires, take a close look at the date on the casing. Find ones that are newest when your buying them. Re-tread companies can only use casings that are less than 5 years old. Once they hit that date, they can't re-tread them, (Government regulations set this date). So when your buying a tire that has been re-capped, find the ones with the newest date on them, they will last you the longest.. Also, try and find a cap that is made by one of the "big" tire companies and not an off brand one.. | |
