what you are lookin at is called a ......ZIPPER,,,it is caused by runnin a tire flat for a long distance...it is not safe at all...if you ever hav one..do not ever add air to it...it can and will blow...you should always look a tire over for these before you check or add air....a new virgin tire will do this if you run it flat for two long
