Pretty interesting what 1250 lbs. ft. @ 0 RPM can do. A 1992 Datsun with Lithium batteries and DC motors . . .

The Zombie has problems with brush flashover so when I first watched these videos, it begged the question: Why not an AC motor powered by a freq. drive? The blog talks about salvaging an AC drive motor from an abandoned GM EV1 to power a Honda Insight. I expect the insight to eventually best the 10.25 sec time of the Zombie.

Wonder which car will explode into more pieces upon contact with another electically driven unit...say an EMD SD90MAC?
