He beat the Vette in the 1/4 mile. The vette would beat at a longer distance. A dragster would beat him in the 1/4. He would beat the dragster in a 100 mile race. No single car is capable of beating every car in every concievable race. Point is, he was racing the red Vette in the 1/4 mile and he beat him handily.
