Sac & Story county IA | Several years ago, I was watching government liquidation auction. The Air Force had for sale a school bus that they had bought converted to electric. The bus was close enough to me to almost drag home with a pickup and chain. The bus was setup with 2 50 hp induction motors. Plain vanilla electric motors. Then, about 60 lead acid batteries and the first generation of a VFD. I really wanted to by the unit for parts contained but I didn't want the carcass of the bus. I always wondered what your uncle and mine paid for that unit. | |
