| Buckshot, there are two things wrong with your statement.
#1. the funds were not "invested" in MF Global.
#2. nobody is asking the Govt. to bail them out here. The CME has funds on hand that are supposed to be used when a clearing firm goes down and the segregated accounts are short.
It is just that plain and simple. I was told thirty years ago that every trade that takes place a few cents went into an account that is used if a clearing firm goes under. I'm not asking
for any form of Govt to step in and I doubt anybody else on this board is either. As far as losses on any trades I haven't heard anybody on here ever ask the Govt to make up the loss either.
