NW Iowa | Have a 1995 8970 with over 8000 hours and going strong had a little trouble with lower end torque so took the fuel pump of and put a new bosch pump on. Dealer "tricked" the pump to make it have better lower end- did not turn it up at all. Dyno read 250HP and it has all of that. What a horse!!! This tractor is now a powerhouse love the tractor just wish they hadn't taken out the last 2 gears of the transmission, goes down the road a little slow. The agco allis has the same transmission but with 2 more top gears which add about 6 mph. Have been told it is possible to put them in this tractor but the cost doesn't seem to justify it. | |
