| Every area has different types of weeds and growers. Some places have weeds that adapt to round up resistance faster.
Then there is what the farmer does. This year I heard a no till farmer talking another farmer. He said something along the lines of, "I heard your suppose to switch up what kind of herbicides you use because the weeds can adopt to them is that true?". I was shocked. Using round up every year is going to lead to resistance eventually especially when its in a no till system with no cover crops and little is done to try and change things up with other herbicides. Its simple natural selection.
I cant believe more people don't understand this, I am not preaching at you maybe you have just been unlucky with bad neighbors and a unfavorable environment I don't need to know. Its just so frustrating that every one I tell this to thinks I'm crazy. Go ask seed corn growers how much glyphosate resistance problems they have all the ones I know of the answer is none. | |
