Caldwell County Kentucky | We got a 580 Super E a year ago July. It's been a fantastic purchase. It's a about an '85-'86 model with the Cummins and 5300 hours. Paid $12,500 for it.
The D will be fine. You'll probably have to put some hydraulic seal kits in.
Figuring $75/hour hiring a backhoe, we've nearly paid for the E in about a year and a half. We've put about 125 hours on it since purchase.
Got more to do.
It'd be nice to have a cab in the winter, maybe the heat can be fixed or retrofitted.
