They have never run a tracked machine on thier farm and are trying to get a grasp for the overall differences in operating a track vs wheel machine... hence the mention of ride, manueverability... as opposed to fuel consumption... etc.
A track machine is quite a bit different... so if a guy doesn't feel the trade offs are offset by something then hes going to stick wheels.
I would guess they could narrow down their search with what they are trying to do this fall. If there are a couple machines that are a toss up... then they could take a better look at some of the money making factors like fuel, resale... etc.
But like us... we weren't going to jump in head first and then decide we like wheels better! | |
