Can't remember his name, but Kansas had an Extension guy who was sort of the cotton specialist there. I sat at a table with him one night several years ago at the Beltwide Cotton Conference.

I remember running down an article maybe 30 years ago about some guys experimenting with cotton in Nebraska and hauling it to a gin in central Kansas where there was a cluster of farmers growing the crop.
