Best advice I can give is to try different configurations for your soils.

I tried 1 spiked wheel and 1 rubber tire with drag chains and was completely unhapppy with the results.

I tried every combination I could think of more down pressure, less down pressure,  removed no till coulter, drove faster and slower  I just could not get what was to me an acceptable result. All I could get was punched holes that did not close the slot. It was getting later and I could not afford to wait any longer.

I ended up trying out a pair of Dawn curvetines with the half rate down pressure spring on one row and switching the other rows back to 2 rubber tires.

I liked those results best and that is what I decided to use on all rows the next year and since.

You may have different results but it's worth trying out different setups in your different soil types to see what works best for you .
