SW Saskatchewan
Why should a man with only one quarter have the same voting power as a thousand or a ten thousand or a hundred thousand acre farmer.

Now that is a strange definition of Democracy that you propose.

How many votes do you feel you should have in the next election and how many should I have? I doubt you will be brave enough to allocate those votes in the same way you would allocate farmers votes.

What you are advocating is not democracy but feudalism. It has been tried before and found wanting though Mussolini and Juan Peron tried to resurrect it . The Chinese economy is this way and depends on the exploited peasant class to function as has any other feudal system that has ever existed.

My Canada is a democratic society, not a feudal kingdom.

And the viewpoint that acres should vote will lead inexorably to that! And lead us back to the middle ages.

Not what I will quietly stand by and watch happen to my Canada.
