SW Saskatchewan | Evidently I didn't find the "most of Ontario producers" that you refer to.
But I did talk to many Ontario farmers and most did agree that the board monopoly has only been replaced by a Monopolistic grain trade that makes no pretense of operating in the farmers best interest.
But I did not attend any Chamber of Commerce type meetings.
Ever hear of the Young Businessmen's Christian Alliance? Very popular out here in the early 80's-most disappeared during the late 80's but every so often they reform to pay homage to the myth of free enterprise.
I would expect if I still hung out with them, those still surviving would idolize free enterprise. | |
